Establishing contacts
Fi Europe & NI - the leading global event for supplements, nutraceuticals and functional food & beverages solutions – attracts a worldwide audience across the full spectrum of industry stakeholders responsible for the specification and development of new nutritional applications.

On the FiE 2020, IPD will again support well-prepared export companies from selected partner countries at this international trade fair. They get the opportunity to exhibit their diverse range of products to the European market, win new clients and get to know the latest European trends.

Anuga 2021: Variety of natural ingredients

Producers from ten developing countries and emerging nations show the wide range and high quality of processed fruit and vegetables

Bonn/Berlin, 14.09.2021 – A wide variety of processed fruits and vegetables – including freeze-dried bananas, guanabana puree, fruit powder, dried courgettes and peppers as well as jalapeño and chilli peppers – will be presented by the Import Promotion Desk (IPD) at this year's Anuga. Around 30 IPD companies from developing and emerging countries will be showing their range of natural ingredients at the world's leading trade fair for the food and beverage industry, taking place in Cologne from the 9th  to 13th of October.

IPD supports organic producers at Biofach eSPECIAL

Bonn/Berlin, 28/01/2020 - Nearly 40 producers from developing and emerging countries will be presented to European trade visitors by the Import Promotion Desk (IPD) at this year's Biofach. This year, the world's leading trade fair for organic food will take place in virtual form from February 17 to 19. For the seventh time, IPD together with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), leading provider of in-ternational cooperation services, will present the wide range of organic products from developing and emerging countries under the motto "Organic Sourcing for Develop-ment". The Import Promotion Initiative’s free matchmaking services are open to all Euro-pean importers: IPD brings together traders from Europe with producers from developing and emerging countries.

Bonn/Berlin, 24.11.2020 – The corona pandemic poses challenges for companies worldwide: contact restrictions make international trade relations and the search for new products and reliable suppliers more difficult. Many of the international trade fairs that serve as important contact exchanges have been postponed. Import Promotion Desk (IPD), the import promotion initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), has developed a variety of online services to continue its work. In virtual meetings and trade fairs, IPD experts support German and European companies in opening up new supply markets and connect them with selected producers from developing countries and emerging nations.

BIOFACH 2020: IPD presents coconut specialities from Sri Lanka

IPD supports exhibitors from Sri Lanka and ten more partner countries at Biofach.

Bonn/Berlin, 27.01.2020 – At this year’s Biofach the product variety of the coconut palm is presented by exhibitors from Sri Lanka: They are bringing a variety of coconut specialities such as dried coconut, virgin coconut oil, coconut blossom sugar, coconut butter, coconut flour, coconut milk and coconut water to the world's leading trade fair for organic food, which takes place in Nuremberg from February 12 to 15. Further highlights from Sri Lanka are spices such as Ceylon cinnamon and different varieties of pepper, as well as essential oils. Besides the exhibitors from Sri Lanka, the Import Promotion Desk (IPD) supports exporters from Colombia, Côte d´Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ecuador, Ghana, Indonesia, Kyrgyz-stan, Tunisia and Ukraine. They will be presenting their regional specialities in organic qual-ity at the joint stand of IPD and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) (Booth 3A | 3A-220) as well as at the national pavilions.
